🟦 PSALM 96: Petitions

Petitions based on Psalm 96

For the Church We pray for the Church, that it may continue to "sing to the Lord a new song" (Psalm 96:1) and be a source of support, comfort, and guidance for those in need, especially during times of crisis. May we be united in prayer and bear witness to the Lord's wondrous deeds in our communities. We pray to the Lord.

For those affected by the fires: We pray for the victims of the Los Angeles fires, that they may find solace in God's love and strength as they rebuild their lives. May they continue to "proclaim his salvation day after day" (Psalm 96:2) and witness the transformative power of your salvation. We pray to the Lord.

For the Global Community: We pray that all nations and peoples may recognize the glory and splendor of the Lord, offering Him praise and worship as the true King over all the earth. May our world leaders govern justly and humbly, serving the common good and fostering peace among nations. We pray to the Lord.

For Hope and Renewal: We pray for those who are burdened by despair, suffering, or distress. May they find comfort and hope in the Lord, who is King over all the earth, and experience the transforming power of His love, which brings new life and joy to all who seek Him. We pray to the Lord.

No more shall people call you “Forsaken, “
or your land “Desolate, “
but you shall be called “My Delight, “
   and your land “Espoused.”
For the LORD delights in you
   and makes your land his spouse.
As a young man marries a virgin,
   your Builder shall marry you;
and as a bridegroom rejoices in his bride
   so shall your God rejoice in you.
