POPE LEO XIV (17:45) - In this powerful morning prayer by Pope Leo XIV, you'll find peace for your heart, clarity for your mind, and strength for your journey.
For Pope Leo XIV and all Church leaders: That they may always listen intently to the voice of the Lord, discerning His will for the Church and guiding the faithful with hearts as we build God's Kingdom on earth for His greater glory...
If today you hear his voice,
harden not your hearts.
Fill us at daybreak with your kindness,

And may the gracious care of the LORD our God be ours;
prosper the work of our hands for us!
Prosper the work of our hands!

SELICA INTERNATIONAL (2:52 - Hiroshima Day is remembered as one of the deadliest days in recent history. The loss of life and infrastructure of this day is an important part of world history. It teaches us to be anti-war, Wars don’t just drain a country of its wealth and resources, they also snatch human life and destabilize the country. Hiroshima Day is a good day to remember the disastrous effects of wars and urge our governments to take an anti-war stance.
For leaders of nations and for peace in the world: As we solemnly observe Hiroshima Day (Wednesday, August 6) may the stark lesson of the rich man's folly—that life is more than possessions—resonate deeply, calling all to reject the accumulation of destructive power and instead build up a harvest of peace, justice, and mutual understanding,
“There was a rich man
whose land produced a bountiful harvest.
He asked himself, ‘What shall I do,
for I do not have space to store my harvest?’
And he said, ‘This is what I shall do:
I shall tear down my barns and build larger ones...
But God said to him,
‘You fool, this night your life will be demanded of you;

For those who struggle with immorality, impurity, and evil desires: That they may find strength in Christ to put to death the earthly parts of themselves, casting off the old self and embracing the new life offered through God's grace...

the parts of you that are earthly:
immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire,
and the greed that is idolatry.
Stop lying to one another,
since you have taken off the old self with its practices
and have put on the new self,
which is being renewed, for knowledge,
in the image of its creator.

DIOCESE OF HARRISBURG (4:53) - In this episode, Sister Geralyn, SCC, discusses how we build up the Kingdom of God. By being excellent in our work and doing everything out of love, we can strap on our tool belts and get to work.
For our parish community of [Parish Name], and for all who tirelessly labor in our local area: That amidst the toil and anxiety of daily life, we may discern true profit not in fleeting gains, but in building up God's Kingdom through acts of charity and service, so that our efforts are not in vain...
Vanity of vanities, says Qoheleth,
vanity of vanities! All things are vanity!...
For what profit comes to man
from all the toil and anxiety of heart
with which he has labored under the sun?
All his days sorrow and grief are his occupation;
even at night his mind is not at rest.
