We pray for the fragile and diminishing Christian population of the Holy Land. May Christians there remain strong in faith and bear witness before all to the peace of Christ.

PRAYERS OF
THE FAITHFUL
2 In a world where we are tempted to see so many of our challenges as dead-ends,
we pray for leaders who inspire a new vision, a new heart and a new commitment
to prepare the way for justice and peace.

We pray for world leaders. On this United Nations Day of Human Rights, may they pledge to respect the God-given dignity of all human beings and uphold their fundamental rights.

For the safety and well-being of our Jewish brothers and sisters during the eight holy nights of December 7-15. As they light each candle on the menorah may their hearts be filled with the Light of the World.

4 For all who are alone or in isolation: that God will sustain them, help them be aware of the blessings in their lives, and helps us to reach out and accompany them

We pray for all who experience adversity and difficulty because of misinformation in the media. May the media present a more truthful view of our country and world.
For all who lack freedom or feel entrapped by life, particularly those with addictions.
Listen to what some have said about this song:
This song really touched my soul. I felt every word. Your music always inspires me to keep pushing forward. I got a little over 19 months clean and your music is a part of my recovery. Thank you for all you do!!
I am an addict in recovery of 7 years. It took so much work to get here. I relate to this song on so many levels. Thank you.
Thank YOU JESUS for removing from me an over 40 year addiction to heroin. Been clean now for alil over 4 years now. My only regret is that I didnt turn my will over to GOD sooner. To those still in the battle of their lifetimes? Never ever give up hope. You are not your own worst enemy. You are your best advocate. And there is nothing wrong with hitting rock bottom. Because then you now have a strong foundation to build up from. Prayers for peace, solace, and happiness for all.

THE FAITHFUL
5 We pray for all members of our faith community. May we accompany one another in prayer and peace through this Advent season of divine promise.
6 For all who are awaiting the birth of a child: that God will bless these expectant parents, fill their hearts with love and acceptance, and help their children to grow and mature

If we become over-busy, stressed or tired, [may the Lord] speak tenderly to us, gather us in his arms and bring us back to a place where we can rest and re-focus on the one great truth of Advent and Christmas: that you have come to us in humility and with patience so that we may see your glory and salvation in our lives.

For our parish [and our school], for our Priests [our teachers and the families of our school children], help us to be generous in sharing our gifts and supporting their needs.
For those who are ill and have asked for our prayers including: N; may they find comfort in the healing touch of God and by the loving care of family and friends, we pray…
For all who have died: that the Good Shepherd will gather them into the peace and joy of God’s presence forever
