1 For the growth of peace: that God will touch the hearts and change the minds of all who are leading violence and warfare, and give them the courage to enter dialogue and establish ceasefires.
2 For safe elections: that God will protect all who plan to vote and all who will be working at polling places so all may fulfill their civic responsibilities.
For leaders of governments: that God will guide them in developing immigration policies that respect the dignity of each person and draw forth their gifts to better our society.

Those burdened by adversity or difficulties
1 For civic leaders in places of unrest: that God will inspire their efforts to communicate, guide them in establishing just policies in their communities, and help them recognize the giftedness and dignity of each person.
2 For those whose lives have been impacted negatively by rules, laws and policies.
We ask God to heal those who were injured in the shootings, to bring comfort to the families of those who have experienced tremendous loss, and we give thanks for the courage of our first responders, who put the lives and well-being of others ahead of their own. We commend to the Lord those who were lost, consoled by the promise of eternal life.

We pray for Jews, Christians and Muslims around the world, that their shared faith in God’s word to Moses will bear fruit in justice for the stranger, the widow, the orphan and all in need.

1 For the conversion of our hearts: that the false gods of power, prestige, pleasure, and security may be dethroned so that the God of mercy, compassion, forgiveness, and justice may receive our service
2 For all who have the coronavirus and for those who care for them: that God will heal and restore the sick and help those who are assisting them to be instruments of God’s healing love
We pray for the quiet volunteers doing the work of the St Vincent de Paul Society, that their care for the poor will ease the hardship and isolation that so many suffer.
