We pray for Pope Francis who celebrates his 87th birthday today. In his 10th year of his papacy, we pray that he be accorded respect and honor that his voice can breathe life into the church and bring healing to all parts of the world.
We pray for the Church, that Pope Francis’ call for a missionary church resonate deeply within the hearts of all. May their efforts not be superficially limited to mere sociological or welfare concerns, but instead serve as an inspiration for true and impactful action.

After the joyous celebration of Hanukkah from December 7th to 15th, let us extend our heartfelt wishes to our Jewish brothers and sisters. In these challenging times marked by antisemitism, may their hearts remain filled with the eternal Light that guides them. May they find moments of joy and strength to overcome adversity.

5 We pray for ourselves in this last week of the Advent season, that we will heed Paul’s advice and be happy, pray constantly, and for all things give thanks to God.
6 For all who must wait: that God’s loving presence will give strength and hope to those who are in isolation, awaiting surgery or the birth of a child, or who are caring for the sick or dying.

For all who cannot find God: that the Nativity scenes, lights, hymns, and warm greetings of this season may be a doorway to finding God in all things and recognizing that God is with us.

For our parish [and our school], for our Priests [our teachers and the families of our school children], help us to be generous in sharing our gifts and supporting their needs.
For those who are ill and have asked for our prayers including: N; may they find comfort in the healing touch of God and by the loving care of family and friends, we pray…
For all who have died: that the Good Shepherd will gather them into the peace and joy of God’s presence forever
