The Church

We pray for the spiritual growth and enrichment of all who visit the Vatican and St. Peter's Basilica during the Jubilee,that it may remain a sacred space of worship, welcoming pilgrims from around the world and fostering a deeper appreciation for our faith in Jesus Christ.

EWTN (6:46) - Pope Leo XIV receives the pallium from Cardinal Dominique Mamberti, Prefect of the Apostolic Signatura, a woolen vestment symbolizing his role as Supreme Shepherd. Made from lamb's wool blessed on the feast of St Agnes, it represents both his pastoral office and how he carries the Church upon his shoulders as the successor of St. Peter and visible head of the Catholic Church. Pope Leo XIV gets emotional as he receives the Fisherman's Ring, a special gold ring bearing the image of St. Peter and the Pope's name and seal. Cardinal Tagle put the ring on him.
