Say to those whose hearts are frightened:
Be strong, fear not!
Here is your God,
he comes with vindication;
with divine recompense
he comes to save you.

FIRST READING

Is 35:4-7a

For priests experiencing physical or spiritual weakness, may they be strengthened by the power of God, who comes to save us, just as He renewed the strength of those in the land of Judah.

We pray for priests facing darkness, fear, or oppression, that the light of the Lord may shine upon them, guiding them toward the path of hope, joy, and salvation.

Jas 2:1-5

We pray for the grace that priests treat all people with respect and dignity, never showing favoritism or discrimination. May their actions reflect the impartial love and mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Lord, help priests to live out their faith through tangible acts of love and service. May their deeds be a testament to their belief in You, as they strive to become doers of Your word.

Mk 7:31-37

For priests struggling with illness, disability, or any form of suffering, we pray that they may experience the healing touch of Jesus, who restores and makes all things new.

Lord, open priest’s ears to hear Your word as they prepare their homilies and loosen their tongues to proclaim Your truth, that they may be instruments of Your love and healing in our world.

We pray for the Church’s missionaries, that they may be strengthened by the Lord in their efforts to bring God’s Word to those in need, and that their work may bear fruit in the renewal of hearts and the transformation of lives.

May the Church be a beacon of hope for those who dwell in darkness and despair, offering guidance, comfort, and the light of Christ to all who seek salvation.

We ask for the grace to foster communities rooted in faith, where the deaf shall hear the word of the Lord, and the blind shall see the glory of God revealed in our midst.

Jas 2:1-5

Grant us the wisdom and courage, Lord, to actively live our faith, spreading the Gospel through acts of love and mercy, and serving as living examples of Your divine impartiality.

We pray that the Church may continue to defend the marginalized and oppressed, faithfully proclaiming Your message of justice and mercy, and working to build a world that reflects Your divine love.

Guide us, O Lord, to show no partiality in our dealings with others, but to welcome all people with open hearts and minds, thus reflecting Your impartial and boundless love for all.

Mk 7:31-37

May the Church be a source of healing and renewal for those who suffer, bringing Your compassion and mercy to all in need, and serving as a testament to the healing power of Your divine touch.

We pray for a deepened faith in Your healing presence, Lord, that we may share the Good News with courage and conviction, transforming lives and opening hearts to receive Your love.

Grant us the grace, O Lord, to follow in the footsteps of Jesus, reaching out to those in need, listening to their cries, and sharing Your healing love with all who seek it.

that he promised to those who love him?

He put his finger into the man’s ears
and, spitting, touched his tongue;
then he looked up to heaven and groaned, and said to him,
“Ephphatha!”— that is, “Be opened!” —
And immediately the man’s ears were opened,
his speech impediment was removed,
and he spoke plainly.

If a man with gold rings and fine clothes
comes into your assembly,
and a poor person in shabby clothes also comes in,
and you pay attention to the one wearing the fine clothes
and say, “Sit here, please, ”
while you say to the poor one, “Stand there, ”
or “Sit at my feet, ”
have you not made distinctions among yourselves
and become judges with evil designs?
