Finding a Good Job
OBJECTS: Any object that represents a distinct type of work such as a shovel to represent a gardener, a bucket to represent a dairy farmer, a Bible to represent clergy.
SUMMARY: Everyone possesses unique talents that allow them to perform specific jobs, such as firefighting, medicine, or parenting, which benefit the community. As children grow, they are encouraged to discover what they love to determine their future vocations. The passage connects this idea to Jesus, noting that prophets foretold his coming as “Emmanuel,” meaning “God with us.” Jesus’ work on earth was driven by his love for humanity, a mission that continues through the Holy Spirit. Ultimately, by choosing work that utilizes our special talents, we can carry on God’s love and serve others effectively.
