Intercessions Based on Themes from the Readings 🔥
write 20 prayers of the faithful that are directly related to Dt 18:15-20; 1 Cor 7:32-35; and Mk 1:21-28. Use direct quotes from NAB

Let us offer our prayers of petition to God, knowing that He hears our concerns and desires.
Lord, hear our prayer.

  1. For the Church: May all members of the Church, through their words and actions, glorify you in everything they do, following the example of St. Paul who sought to imitate Christ. We pray to the Lord.
    Lord, hear our prayer.
  2. For those afflicted with physical, mental, or emotional ailments: May they experience your healing touch and find comfort in their suffering. Grant them strength and courage, and may they never lose hope in your love and mercy. We pray to the Lord.
    Lord, hear our prayer.
  3. For those who are unemployed or struggling financially: May they find stable and fulfilling employment, and may their needs be met. Help us, as a community, to reach out and support those who are in need, showing them compassion and solidarity. We pray to the Lord.
    Lord, hear our prayer.
  4. For those burdened by addiction or unhealthy attachments: Grant them the strength to turn away from their vices and embrace a life of freedom and sobriety. Surround them with supportive and understanding individuals who can guide them towards healing and renewal. We pray to the Lord.
    Lord, hear our prayer.
  5. For peace and reconciliation in our world: May all nations and people learn to live in harmony, respecting one another and working together for the common good. Guide our leaders to pursue just and peaceful solutions in times of conflict or tension. We pray to the Lord.
    Lord, hear our prayer.
  6. For all victims of injustice and violence: May they find solace and justice, and may their wounds be healed. Strengthen those who work tirelessly for justice and advocate for the rights of the marginalized and oppressed. We pray to the Lord.
    Lord, hear our prayer.
  7. For all those in positions of authority: Guide them to lead with wisdom, integrity, and compassion. Grant them the courage to make decisions that are just and beneficial for all, especially the most vulnerable members of society. We pray to the Lord.
    Lord, hear our prayer.

Gracious God, we offer these prayers of petition, trusting in your infinite love and mercy. Hear and answer them according to your loving will. We ask this through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen._
